Balloons!

It finally happened. After some coaxing from a friend, I was finally able to will myself to get up very early on a Sunday morning to witness the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Clark Field, Pampanga.

Balloons of all sizes and shapes! What a sight to behold! I wasn't alone in thinking this. The venue was packed! I would not be surprised if the three-day event was able to gather more than a million spectators. I have never seen traffic and crowds this bad at 5:30 in the morning.

Still, it was worth it. I was a bit hesitant to attend the event having only a loaner camera in tow. But the resulting images were not at all bad. The weather wasn't the best (it was actually raining a bit), but nobody seemed to mind.

It has been a very hectic weekend. And for someone who is just recovering from a very bad case of the flu, I can say I am surprised, and proud, that I was able to bounce back and do a lot of fun activities after being bed-ridden for almost a week. So February is starting to be not so crappy after all!

The fun is over for now and now it's back to work for me. I need to get back to business, and start saving up for a camera of my own. Hopefully I will be able to save up for one before we embark on our next adventure.
