Hope Springs Eternal

In what could be the most trying time in the history of Norway since the second world war, the people of Oslo gathered at Rådhusplassen at 6PM today, to show that we will not let fear overcome our hearts.

The nation is still in mourning. But the sight of 150,000 people raising their arms in unison, and waving flowers in the air, is a sight to behold. This is by far the most beautiful, solemn sight I have seen in my entire life.



This tragedy has wreaked havoc on our peaceful country. But we will not let fear win. Norway has always been a country where love, peace, unity and tolerance has been promoted. And today, in Oslo and all throughout the nation, people have gathered together to show our strong spirit. To show that we remain unfazed in the face of terror.

The terrorist with his atrocious actions has taken many young and innocent lives away from us. But he will never be able to take our nation's dignity. Their spirit, and what they fought for, will remain in our hearts for as long as we live.
