Blogging from the HK airport

Two of the three flights I need to take before I finally reach Manila are over, and thankfully the long-haul flight is also over and done with!

And another milestone for L.I.F.F: I am blogging from the Hong Kong airport, looking at the plane I will be boarding in about an hour's time from the terminal window. The weather is pretty gray, but I couldn't care less. All I wish for now is to finish the last leg of the flight and finally be with my family!

The picture you are looking at the left is one of the last pictures I took outside the streets of Oslo before I finally had to put the camera back in the bag and deal with Friday's orders: meet and say goodbye to friends. And what a picture it is, if I might say so myself. The fountain just outside of the Nationaltheatret metro station looked as if it were a fireworks display with the sun's rays being reflected on the shiny copper tubes and the slow shutter speed creating symmetrical water circles.

I am sure I will need to set aside a few hours back home in the Philippines to reflect on the fifteen-year stay I had in Norway, and reflect on the upcoming days, weeks and months in the Philippines. The last 5 months I spent in Oslo was no cakewalk. I had to overcome every daunting challenge that came by: disassembling furniture, quitting my job, saying goodbye to friends. I am sure life in the Philippines will not be so easy either. There will be many challenges that will need to be faced.

But this time, I will not face them alone.
