Decision: Photography Lessons
The decision was finally made. Instead of a new mobile phone I decided to invest in the one thing that will take my creativity to the next level: photography lessons. I think this is a much better investment this time, as I really want to be able to use my new dSLR to its full capacity and take the pictures that really captivate. And this is the man who will help me hone my photographic skills: Terje Skåre.
It's just the group's first meeting so it's not easy to say how much I am going to progress technically speaking. Some of the people in the class have never operated a dSLR before, so I will just have to stay planted until the rest catches up. Not that I am an expert either. Well, I already know the basics: focal length, depth of field, aperture, exposure settings, etc. What I need is to how to master manipulating these settings together so I capture the moments which I desire.
It is a breath of fresh air to be able to do other things aside from working out and working, so I feel really motivated to see this through. Our first assignment is to capture fast movement, and I already have an idea as to how to do this task. It will take some creative thinking and photographing in bad lighting, but I think I will manage :)
