Where does the time go?

I don't really want to ask such a hypothetical question, I just want to know what they do with the hour they steal from me every time Europe puts Daylight Savings Time into effect!

Last night was the worst night of the year to be going out drinking. When the clock strikes two in the morning DST takes effect and all of a sudden it's 3AM and the bars are already closing. Not that I was out last night. I was sleeping. Of course since it's DST it also meant that I woke up one hour later than I should. Oh well.

There are some days when just going out with a camera and "wing it" in the hopes of being able to take good photographs without a plan just won't work, and today was one of those days! The days where I was able to take back lots of nice photos to edit are usually those days when there is a particular event happening in Oslo which I decide to cover. Walking around aimlessly can sometimes be a futile endeavor, although it does force one to be extra creative. Today I didn't want to be forced to do anything!

It wasn't all lost though since I had the chance to meet up with my good friend and stepping partner Ida, and I was able to take this nice black and white portrait of her. I only came back with two photographs today, but something good did happen. I am starting to "bond" with my camera now more and more. I am starting to like it's size and weight. To be a full-frame camera it's small enough and light enough to lug around for casual use. And the image quality is, as always, predictably good. It's nice to have a camera you know will perform well in almost any kind of light.

Tomorrow will be the last day of the Easter break and then it will be back to working.  I am really not looking forward to it, but then again there will not be many more of those days left to complain about. I just have to make the most of the time I have left in this city.
