Last Call for the Beach!

...at least before the Holy Week starts. I was fortunate enough to join my team for a team outing (which of course ended up as team drinking instead for a lot of people), before a week of abstinence, prayer, and contemplation, begins.

Morong, Bataan, is probably the town that I have visited the most number of times in the last 2-3 years. Not that it's beaches are amazing. They aren't, really. But it has one big advantage: location. This is probably one of the more presentable beaches that is close enough to drive to from Manila if you've already tired of the beaches south of the metro.

Shallow, blue water, fine (though not white) beaches, affordable hotels. There is really nothing to dislike about Morong. And Morong is an especially nice place to visit during the months of December to February if you want to witness hatching of sea turtles and their release back into the ocean. You can even pay to release them yourself. I'll write more about that in a future post.

So definitely a last call for the beach now before I head home to Pampang and just spend the rest of the Holy Week with my family. The weather is just too hot nowadays and Holy Week almost always means that all the tourist spots in the entire country are packed with people. But we'll definitely start sojourning again once the Lenten season is over! So now, it's time to pack my bags, board the bus to Angeles City, and start taking pictures of cats.
