Another year older!

Yup, it's that time of the year again! Another year older, and hopefully getting wiser because sometimes I still do question some of the decisions I have made in my life hehehe.

We're not really big on parties in my family but we still managed to a small celebration to commemorate this special day. It won't be as big (and as expensive) as last year's blowout. This year, it will be just me and my family, plus a good friend who traveled 5 hours on a bus just to greet me a happy birthday. Call me old but gestures like those are in my opinion better than any store-bought present.

 So the family plus one headed to one of the better Chinese restaurants in the city to feast on a freshly roasted Peking Duck prepared in three ways. Believe me, it's scumptious! Definitely worth the time, money and the inches this will pack on an already expanding waistline! We don't get to do this everyday, so a little pampering every now and then couldn't hurt.

The year is fast coming to a close. Time flies so fast in this country! I guess it's a good since, since that probably means I have been having a blast these past months. Even though there have been a few hiccups here and there all in all I can definitely say I've had a ton of fun. But this living "nonchallantly" needs to come to an end soon (yes it NEEDS to, as too much of a good thing is still bad for you), and I have to roll up my sleeves and start looking for employment. It scares me a bit, but with some humility, patience and dedication I know everything will be alright
