No April Fool's
The temperature is rising once again in Manila, and from the looks of it, it is going to be one hot summer indeed! But the hot summers make for some interesting sunsets. So yesterday I was treated to an almost psychedelic show of colors as the sun began to set over Taguig City. And yes, this is view from my window, something that I have been looking at for the past five years! I don't tend to look at it as much as I used to. Of course I still take a peek from behind the curtains every once in a while to check for rain. I still feel rather privileged to have this kind of view to look at though.
So yeah, it's not a April Fool's joke. I changed the name of my blog. I wanted to do this for the longest time now, but was lacking the creative juices to think of something catchy. And the name right now is not at all catchy! But it's a start. Let's say it's a placeholder for something ingenious as soon as I come up with it.
The name change comes from the fact that I am not using full-frame cameras anymore, for quite a number of years already. They are quite expensive here in the Philippines, and quite a huge investment to make. Not to mention the lenses that go with it are also expensive and larger and heavier to carry around.
Maybe it's also a bit of penny-pinching but right now I am very happy with the K-70 that I have and it more than fits my needs. I am really glad to be back on the Pentax (or Ricoh) bandwagon again. I've used more Pentax cameras than any other brand and their cameras have always been dependable and have given me a lot of memorable photos. My very first DSLR (technically speaking), a white Pentax K-R, was the reason I started to blog in the first place! Will I switch to the K-1 and back to full-frame? Probably not, unless they put the silver one on sale for very cheap!
