Happy birthday to the two most important women in my life!
The title says it all. It's a late post since my sister and mother celebrated their birthdays on July 27 and August 1 respectively. But nonetheless both these women deserve a special mention on my blog. These two are, after all, the reason why I returned to the Philippines, and all the moments I get to spend with then whenever I am off work makes the return all the more worth it!
It has been one roller coaster ride but the tumor has stabilized and has since not shown any signs of aggression or growth. My sister has returned to a somewhat normal life and will even start to work again! Albeit not in Manila as we don't want her to experience the stressful life there anymore. She will start to teach part-time at the University of the Philippines branch in Clark. It's a good start! At least she doesn't have to stay home all day every day and get bored.
So far so good. Things are looking great! I may be slaving my arse off at work right now and the fact that I don't get to practice my hobbies or exercise as much as I want to irritates me sometimes. But knowing that the people I hold most dear are doing okay always puts things in perspective and make me realize that God is good and life in good. I just have to stay healthy and strong, both physically and mentally, so I can continue to support and love the people who mean the whole world to me.
So mom and sis, happy birth to the both of you! And may you have many more birthdays to come! I cannot wait to go home next week and celebrate! I will make sure that we will have a blast!
